Rodeo Interview

Rodeo

Rodeo was recently interviewed about her elimination from the show I Love Money and her visit to the Walter Reed Medical Center. This is what she had to say:

How was your visit with the troops last week?

Amazing. The corporal and the sergeant were teary-eyed when I came in. They said, “You have no idea how moved the troops were when they found out you were coming.” They want to see the lady that has dreams and who was a classy lady. I’m trying to change the way people look at people on reality shows and, hell, I got the troops’ attention! There was a guy who’d just gotten in there on Tuesday. A silent bomb hit him and crushed his skull. They put plates in his head to form his skull back. When I walked in there, I placed my hand on his shoulder and I said, “I’m here. At ease, solider.” To have a tear come out of his eye because he said I took his pain away for a minute, it made me feel just wonderful.

So that’s a good thing that came out of this experience, right?

Yes. By Megan eliminating me, it pissed me off.

She was mean.

Yeah. She’s a very hateful person. I really don’t think she has a care in her heart. Maybe for her dog, but she’s the one who dropped her dog on its head and that’s what caused its deformation, which is sad for that animal. Though she takes care of it now, so that’s fine. But, I think she’s sad with herself and to make herself feel better, she belittles other people. She does that to women who are older than her, like Heather and me. She’s gonna wish that she looks as good as me when she’s close to 40. I dislike her and I do not care for her. The troops don’t appreciate her at all. I just hope that the fans know that I tried everything in my heart to win.

Be sure to go read the entire interview with Rodeo here.

New York Goes to Hollywood: New York is Turning Japanese!

nygth-logo.jpgThis week’s episode of New York Goes to Hollywood is by far the funniest yet. Tiffany’s agent Chuck gives her a call and tells her that she is booked for a Japanese commercial about an energy drink. The commercial is for free and may or may not air in Japan.

But Tiff is stoked anyway. She and Lizza decide that she needs to brush up on Japanese culture so they go off to do some heavy research. First stop: dry cleaners.

Brooke Knows Best: Rey, Rey, Go Away

Brooke Knows BestThis week on Brooke Knows Best, the apartment gets a little crowded. Glenn has a friend that needs to place to stay for three weeks and it turns out to be Brooke’s couch. Brooke is not impressed by him from the get go. He is short and chubby and not at all attractive, but being a good friend, Brooke decides to tolerate Glenn’s buddy.

Ashley was definitely not impressed by all of the video game crap that Rey brought with him, proving in case no one was sure yet, that he is a huge dork.

I mean, who really carries around a Super Mario Brothers hat and has tattoos of an Apple Computers logo? I’m surprised he doesn’t still live in his mom’s basement!

Hoopz from I Love Money is a Cover Girl

Check out the October issue of King Magazine to see Hoopz on the cover. They haven’t released the article that goes along with her appearance in the magazine, or any other pictures, but I bet she’ll have a lot to say about her fellow castmates on I Love Money and Flavor Flav.

Check Out Diddy’s Entourage

We get to enjoy I Want to Work for Diddy each week, but here’s a shot of some of the many people that already work for Diddy. He’s well known for having one of the largest entourages in Hollywood. This shot was captured by a paprazzo when he arrived at Coco De Ville Nightclub in West Hollywood this week.

Interview With Rob, the Latest Cast-off from I Want To Work For Diddy

Rob

This week we saw the exit of Rob from I Want to Work for Diddy and he has a lot to say about his role as a gay man in society. As you all may know, Rob is an Iraq War Veteran and was forced to live under the guiding principle of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” while in the military. Now that he is out of the army and on a reality show, he is able to speak more freely about his personal life and preferences. Rob recently did an interview with VH1 about his elimination. Here’s an excerpt:

You were made to look like you dropped the ball on this week’s challenge. Is there anything you want to clear up about that?
The most difficult part about watching that and about my time on the show so far is that I got out of the military five years ago. Since I’ve gotten out of the military, I got a B.A. in advertising and communications from Syracuse University. I’m a published writer. I’ve done all these things, and it seemed to me that it was more convenient to portray me as an Iraq War veteran and nothing else. Being a soldier isn’t who I am, it’s something that I did.

Were you on the ground in Iraq?
Yes. I was an infantryman. If we had a mission, I was one of the ones on the ground executing it.

Is it possible to sum up that experience?
I’m gonna try. I’m writing a memoir about my time in the military.

I assume that Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell will be a big part of that book?
Absolutely. My experience as somebody who’s a black gay male that served in the military and was deployed twice is uniquely my own. One of the reasons why I did the show and one of the reasons I was open about my sexuality and that I’m a veteran was to shed some light on this. It’s one of the most unfair things going on right now. It’s absurd. The things they say to justify the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy are unfounded.

Hateful. Did you see the recent 60 Minutes segment about this? I don’t know what his rank was, but some military official was expressing vehement support of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. His rationale came down to the fact that his intolerance and discomfort should be everyone’s problem.

People who support Don’t Ask Don’t Tell choose to insult the intelligence of everyone in the United States Military by saying that they’re not mature or smart enough to handle the same rules that go on in the civilian sector. There are all these anti-discrimination laws in the civilian sector. Why can’t that be in the military? The fact that there’s a troop shortage and such an enlistment problem right now, and yet they’re kicking people out and not letting them be who they are. It’s ridiculous.

I’m happy that Rob is telling his story and I hope that it helps create better understanding that can start the changes that need to happen. I encourage you to go read the rest of the interview here.

Diddy Has Created a New Fragrance

DiddyDiddy has a new men’s cologne coming out called I Am King, his second fragrance so far. I don’t have permission to publish the ad campaign photos, but if you take a look at them here and here, you will definitely see that he really seems to think that he is the king. Powerful, handsome, wealthy and talented, yes…but king, no.
